Silk duvets

Our silk duvets are handcrafted from the finest silk to provide the best thermal comfort and reduce night sweats. Silk is a natural barrier against dust mites for healthy, restful sleep.

Why buy one silk duvet ?

The silk duvet established herself as the queen of duvets. It provides thermal comfort and softness while being naturally healthy. This is therefore the assurance of better, healthy and restorative sleep.

1. Silk, the best filling duvet

There are 2 main categories of filling on the market: natural and synthetic:

- The duvets Synthetics are generally quite uncomfortable and are less breathable. In addition, they are pure products of the chemical industry and generally undergo additional treatments against mites...

- The duvets Natural materials can be made from cotton, wool, down or silk filling. The duvets natural are more qualitative than their synthetic counterparts. The silk duvet is the one that offers the best thermal comfort. In fact, the others duvets are often too hot and cause sweating. Silk also beats other natural fibers thanks to its sanitizing properties.

2. The exceptional properties of our silk duvets

Silk is a natural fiber that has many benefits for quality sleep. Indeed, insulating and breathable, silk naturally regulates your body temperature. It is also antibacterial, anti-mite and hypoallergenic. Finally, it absorbs moisture and thus limits perspiration.

3. Thecare easy to silk duvets

Naturally antibacterial, the silk duvet requires very littlecare : air it 2 to 3 times a year to restore its fluffiness. Unlike the duvets in wool, down or cotton, the filling stays in place. You can store your silk duvet in a suitable suitcase available on our site. Protected from the sun, heat and dust, you will benefit from its benefits for a long time.

How to choose the right one duvet ?

1. Determine the correct weight of duvet

First of all, know that the weight of a duvet is expressed in g/m2. This is the weight per m2 of silk filling inside the envelope. The greater this number, the more duvet will keep you warm. We offer you 3 different weights corresponding to 3 types of duvet :

- duvet Summer : 180g/m2, for temperatures above 20°C

- duvet Mid-Season : 320g/m2, ideal between 17°C and 20°C

- duvet 4 Seasons : this is the combination of the first 2 duvets which attach with ties. It is suitable for temperatures below 17°C

- duvet Winter : 500g/m2. It is perfect for harsh winters, poorly heated rooms or very cold people.

The choice of duvet does not necessarily depend on the season, but more on the way you sleep and your expectations in terms of comfort and warmth. The temperature of the room also plays a big role. The warmer the room, the less you will need a duvet hot. Small clarification: a temperature between 16 and 18°C is recommended to sleep well. On the expense side, the duvet 4 Saisons is the most economical because you can use it all year round and adapt your sleeping arrangements according to your needs.

2. Find the size of duvet that suits you

Choosing the size of your duvet is done according to the dimensions of your bed. If you want an elegant drape or if you are afraid that your other half will monopolize all the duvet, favor a duvet bigger. Here are our recommendations for selecting the right one duvet :

- for a single bed of 90 cm and 120 cm: duvet 140x200 or 200x200 cm

- for a standard 140 cm double bed: duvet 200x200 or 240x220 cm

- for a Queen Size bed of 160 cm: duvet 240x220 or 260x240 cm

- for a King Size bed of 180 cm or more: duvet 260x240 or 280x240 cm

What type of duvet for summer?

To avoid sweating in summer, opt for a silk duvet. In hot weather, silk regulates temperature to reduce perspiration and keep you cool.

Which duvet for winter?

If you're looking for a warm duvet for winter, choose a winter silk duvet or a 4-season silk duvet. With their 500g/m2 weight, you'll sleep warm without having to turn up the heat.

What is a 4-season duvet?

A 4-season comforter consists of two comforters: a summer comforter combined with a mid-season comforter. They are fastened together using ties that run all the way around both comforters. The 4-season silk comforter lets you enjoy the benefits of silk all year round. It’s the natural comforter that offers the best value for the money.

How do I care for my silk comforter?

Your silk comforter should not be washed with water. This is because the silk fibers could become saturated with water and lose their properties and benefits.

To care for your silk comforter, simply air it out regularly. It’s best to air it out on a dry day and, if possible, indoors. If the comforter cover gets stained, do not put it in the washing machine. You’ll need to take your silk comforter to a dry cleaner for professional dry cleaning.

Can you use a silk comforter without a duvet cover?

We strongly advise against using your silk comforter without protecting it with a comforter cover. Doing so increases the risk of staining the cover of your silk comforter. You will then have to take it to a dry cleaner for dry cleaning.
