Silk thread is made up of 2 proteins: fibroin and sericin. Fibroin is fibrous and is found at the heart of the silk thread. It is surrounded by sericin which is an agglutinating substance.
Fibroin
Its composition similar to that of collagen and keratin allows it to be more easily assimilated by the skin. It has a strong moisturizing power. It also has the ability to penetrate the skin quickly and deeply without leaving a greasy film on the face.
Sericin
It is hydrophilic and thus provides intense hydration. It optimizes the production of collagen and improves the elasticity of the skin. Sericin also promotes the production of hyaluronic acid. Naturally present in our body, this molecule has a moisturizing, plumping and anti-aging action.
